To mitigate future flood risks, the communities are coming together constructing gabion structures as they stabilize riverbanks and prevention of erosion, protect agricultural land and infrastructure and enhancing community resilience to climate-related disaster #through' UNDP' funding.

Nursery Sites:This initiative demonstrates UNDP's commitment to support the communities affected by climate -related disasters like cyclone IDAI, promoting sustainable development and building resilience for a brighter future through establishing nursery sites in two areas which are at Rujeko and Kubatana village in Ward, Manicaland Province.

Chikukwa Ecological Land Use Organisation (CELUO). was born out of a community initiative to address the challenges that the community was facing. The challenges included the erosion and depletion of natural vegetation/resources which was becoming rampant and negatively affecting crop yield.
